This 1 day course is designed for Clinical Manager users including clinicians and office staff. This is an instructor-led course with hands-on Clinical Manager application training. The focus of this course enables attendees to get started using the Clinical Manager and provides the basic knowledge needed to become an effective Clinical Manager user.
Lessons include:
- Clinical Manager Introduction – This session introduces the Clinical Manager and provides an overview of its capabilities.
- Getting Started – Students will learn the login process and user interface basics including navigating the home page, searching, and toolbar functionality. This session also covers the fundamentals of user management.
- The Doctor Patient Visit – Students will learn how to document and record each portion of the doctor patient encounter.
- Medical Record Management – Students will learn how to manage and navigate medical records. Topics include creating new records, the patient registration and summary forms.
- Rx Pad – Students will learn how to use the Rx Pad. This session details the process for electronically writing, refilling and printing prescriptions. Other topics include checking for drug interactions and viewing the formulary.
- Lab Orders – Students will learn the fundamentals of managing clinical tests. Topics include ordering new lab tests, reviewing the latest results, receiving test result from the inbox and the process for manual data entry. The Lab Results Flowsheet is also outlined.
- Document Management – Students will learn how to use the document management features. This session includes an overview and detail discussions on folder organization, uploading and deleting files and the One Touch Scan process.
- Document Editor – Students will learn the purpose of the Document Editor and how to use it effectively. This session includes detailed discussions on launching the document editor, using the editor toolbar, understanding and navigating the document tree, creating and using templates, and documenting an encounter.
